When you’re feeling sick or have suffered some type of injured, you simply visit your doctor, explain the problem, and receive the appropriate treatment. Unfortunately, since our animal companions cannot speak, it’s not as easy to identify and diagnose a problem – especially if it’s something that cannot be seen on the surface of the skin.

When an external exam just isn’t enough to reach a definitive diagnosis, the experienced doctors at Cornell Center Animal Hospital turn to technology to help them dig deeper. Veterinary diagnostics are invaluable tools that allow us to get a glimpse inside your pet’s body so we can more accurately diagnose and treat whatever maybe ailing them in timely manner.

We utilize a broad range of veterinary diagnostic tools to help us manage the ongoing health of our patients, including:

  • Blood Work
  • Urinalysis
  • Fecal Testing
  • Cytology
  • Parasite Testing
  • Digital Radiology (X-Ray)
  • Ultrasound Imaging
  • Cardiology
  • Penn-Hip Testing

Our hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory, which allows us to gather test results quickly. With many illnesses and injuries, time is of the essence. The ability to conduct on-site testing can greatly improve the chances of a positive outcome for our patients. Our facility also features an American Animal Hospital Association certified radiology suite, where we can take x-ray images to evaluate your pet’s internal health. Digital x-rays can be reviewed instantly, and can be transmitted via computer should the opinion of a specialist be deemed necessary.

Rest assured that whatever is bothering your animal companion, we’re prepared to quickly and accurately diagnose the problem so we can develop the right treatment plan to get them back on the path to good health again.
